Notes: Imprint reads 'Printed for C.K. and E.W.'; publisher's names from ESTC. Entered into the Stationer's Register 8 April 1603. Epitaph on Elizabeth I. Acrostic verse on King James I and VI. Prose letter signed 'James R.', dated from Holyrood 28 March 1603 and addressed to the Lord Mayor of London, in which James accepts the offer of the crown. The letter was printed separately in 1603 [see STC 14362.5]. It does not appear in the Bodleian copy of 'Englands welcome' [Mal. 294]. The EEBO digitization is from the Huntington, where the letter has separate pagination and interrupts the numbering of the gatherings. The letter seems to have been inserted into this particular copy of 'Englands Welcome'. 'England's Welcome' composed of three cantos in varying verse forms interspersed with two sonnets and concluded with a song.
