A shipment of unspecified merchandise to Livorno. On the evening of 1 April 1719, the vessel anchored off the island of Gorgona around 19:00 under calm sea conditions, with winds blowing from the south-west. However, on the following morning, as the patron prepared the vessel for departure, a sudden storm arose with violent north-east winds. The weather quickly deteriorated, forcing the crew to make emergency efforts to secure the ship using three anchors and the assistance of local fishermen. Despite these efforts, the force of the storm was overwhelming, and the ship was eventually wrecked onto the island’s rocky coast. The vessel was completely wrecked and only a portion of the cargo could be recovered.
