1Mutamad Lal Muhammad, having hoped for kindness, know that recently through the ‘arzdasht
2of Purshottam Das, chaudhri of pargana Dhar, it has been represented that he [i.e. Lal Muhammad] had gone to the villages of pargana Jamli and said to the peasants there
3that he would invade the said pargana. And this has been the cause of the despair of the peasants there.
4Therefore it is written that this event is extremely displeasing. It is necessary that he
5have nothing to do with the parganas of the jagir of the Sarkar [i.e. Nawazish Khan]. And if any matters come forth, the facts should be put forward in an ‘arzdasht
6so that whatever needs to be done, can be done. And if he ever does this type of action again, the consequences will not be good.
7Knowing this matter to be confirmed, do not neglect what is written. Written on the 1st of Zi al-hijjah, [regnal] year 5.
