Notes: Title from SRP; the 1603 publication has the words 'By the King' printed at the head of the sheet. 'Given under our hand at Wilton the twenty fourth day of October'. Describes 'the late case of our succession to this Crowne' as evidence of 'Gods great goodnes [sic] towards us'; describes the succession as being 'received with more quiet and concurrencie of good will of our people (otherwise perhaps of different dispositions than ever in like accident hath bene seene'. As Larkin (p. 61) points out, James fails to mention the Millenary Petition presented to him on his arrival from Scotland.
