Imprint reads: 'London, Printed 1660'. No details of printer or publisher given on the title page.
Thomason copy dated March 6 1659 [ie. 1660]. 1660 on the imprint is struck through.
Letter is signed 'Your Excellencies most humble Servant'; it advocates the return of monarchy and of episcopacy. The author's reference to having undermined 'the reasons your Lordship laid and urged for a Common-wealth' (p.7) suggests that this letter was designed as a response to an argument against monarchy that Monck made in a letter from January 1660 [see Wing A861]. |
