Each sermon has its own title page, with an imprint bearing the date of 1660. Thomason copy dated on the first title page 'Aprill'. Each sermon also has a separate date: 'The Impudent Usurper', 1655; 'The Regal Intruder', 1654. They are numbered 5 and 6 respectively and appear to be continuing the four sermons printed in 'The Grand Conspiracy' in 1653 [see Wing A1207A]. 'The Impudent Usurper' written on Luke 4:6-7: 'And the Divel said unto him [...] all shall be thine.' Discusses usurpation and succession. 'The Regal Intruder' written on 1 Kings 21:19: 'Thou shalt say unto him, thus saith the Lord, hast thou killed, and also taken possession?' Discusses how to advise a corrupt prince.
