Charles II Poetry George Monck |
Notes: | No printer, publisher, place of publication or year. Thomason copy dated Jan. 31 1659 (ie. 1660). London suggested by Wing. Principally a poem in praise of Monck, but in doing so encourages him to 'settle Kingly Power in this Dominion'. The final lines, in which the author praises Monck as 'his Namesake', suggest that the author's first name is also George. |
