| Description | |
As they are jettisoning the cheese, a Turkish corsair is seen approching. Since the weather is reducing visibility there is no chance of salvation from the land in their current position. A race towards the land begins, with the captain jettisoning more cheese in order to make good the escape. Once close to the land the corsair gives up the chase and turns back. |

| Transcription: | Et levando mano di gettare e mentre stavamo contrastando con la burrasca, essendo coperta la fiumara di Roma, scoprì un vascello che ne veniva sopra, e stimandolo di corsali, procurò girare per il piu vicino terreno, et accorgendosi essere Turchi et la mercantia con la Burrasca l’impediva, far getto per salvarsi [con..lti] di nuovo di alleggerire e gettare del altro formaggio che ne fù gettato buona quantita che piu essere state circa sette in ottocento pezzi, et arrivato al terreno di monte, sempre seguitati dal vascello Turco, et quando lo viddero [sic] vicino al Terrono il Vascello voltò il camino e l’abbandono |
