| Transcription: | Essendo arrivati poco lontani dalla Formara, si voltorno venti di tramontana e maestri gagliardissimi, che de fatto li fece rendere il Bordo, e per più sicuro scampo, indirizzo alla volta di Sicilia, et arrivati verso l’Isola di Ponza il mare si fece si grande che colpo per colpo si vedevano ingliotiti oltre che la galeotta si era tutta apperta per le comessure, e faceva molto acqua da che essendo in reparabile, la salute di nuovo disperati, fatto consiglio di alleggerire e gettare in mare del altro formaggio, come [favevano?] gettandone molto quantità che in tutto vede sino [sic] stati due mila e dugento pezzi et scorendo alla volta del Isole, il giorno di Lunedi alle 23 hore essendo vicino a Ponza, il mare si andava abbonacciando et il martedi mattina vigilia del [?] Natale, si messero li venti a segno di Levanti, et voltando il camino per Livorno |
