The people were put to bailing out with the pump and the water was mixed with grain, suggesting damage to the cargo. With the help of god and thanks to a voto made to the Madonna they made it into the port of Livorno. |

| Transcription: | Lontano 20 miglia in circa a Porto Ferraio dove incontrò altra fortuna di venti Ponenti e libecci che l’onde del mare trapassavano il pettacchio da una parte all’altra con manifesto pericolo di sommergersi e con tanto tormenta che il pettacchio cominciò a fare acqua in gran copia da poppa a prua per 2 falle scoperte in detti luoghi oltre la quantita dell’acqua che entrava di sopra per li colpi del mare per il che bisognava tenere la genti ad agottare con la tromba e buglioli e con l’acqua della Tromba usciva mescolato grano e facendo forza di vele per montare il cavo di monte nero et allontanarsi al possibile dal terreno e con l’aiuto di Dio e per voto fatto alla Madonna Tantissima miracolosamente li sortì scorrere nel Porto di Livorno |
