Dopo la partenza da Erice ci si ferma in località ignota sei giorni a causa del maltempo. il 5 marzo in vista di Genova si alzano venti grecali che impediscono di raggiungere il porto e si corre verso ponente fino a sera, quando poi si riesce a prendere porto a Noli. Si sgotta continuamente e si rompe l'albero maestro e del trezzo e le funi della vela di gabbia e maestra. Nel mentre si teme possa essersi danneggiato il carico.
