The ship set off from Trapani carrying 300 Barrels of Tuna for two Livorno merchants and 10 ‘Rubbia’ of grain for the captain himself. A day later, with bad weather looming with Westerly and So’westerly winds, they took shelter at Ponzi for six days. They then continued in convoy for Livorno. When they arrived at Capo D’Ansa there arose strong winds from the South and South-East, but they continued with the voyage. The winds then changed to Westerly and So’Westerly again putting the ship in danger. In order to reach the port of Santo Stefano, the captain, with the consent of the crew decided to make a jettison of some equipment and part of the cargo. Santo Stefano was reached, and a consolato made.
