The ship left Napoli and loads more cargo at the Marina of ‘Nisita’. It then sets out on its journey but near the mouth of the Tiber a strom arose with southern and south-westerly winds. The ship made it to the coast off Nettuno but they were nevertheless forced to cut away and jettison some wine using an axe and buckets, and also an empty barrel on the deck that was causing difficulty.

During the jettison water entered the hold through the open porthole through which the jettison was being made. They spent the night in a refuge near the tower of Monte Cercelli. Thanks to the weather they could not go forward so the returned to Gaeta and made their conoslato in front of the French consul.
