Cargo consisting of coffee, sugar, rum and Hides from Rio Janeiro to Malta. When crossing the Atlantic they encountered strong gales of wind, very heavy seas and equally boisterous weather causing the vessel to labor and strain considerably that she made at one time six inches of water per Hour, in pumping out which coffee came up through the pumps and choked same.
