This paper provides another overall view of the threat of insurgency within Iraq. However, this is more focused on the entrenched nature of Sunni Arab insurgents in the Sunni heartlands and the threat this poses to the coalition. This is useful to scholars as it provides us with an understanding of key opposition groups, how members are recruited to these groups and the amount of public support they have.
